About Claire White

Claire White studies the weird, wonderful ways humans deal with death and belief — from funeral rituals and afterlife stories to the science of why we struggle to let go. She’s a professor who moonlights as a tour guide through the stranger corners of psychology, anthropology, and religion, making big ideas about grief and faith understandable (and sometimes even funny). Her work has been featured in places like the BBC, The Guardian, and The New York Times.
